RULE 24 Corssing
The player who has not the ROW may cross the LOB but may not if he either endangers that player or causes him to check or pull away.

RULE 25 Lossing the ROW
If a defending player enters a ROW safely in front of an attacking player with the ball ahead of him, the player following cannot ride into that player from behind and only can hit the ball on his nearside

RULE 26 Endangers the ROW
A player may only use legitimate ride off or stic hooking to defend his team on the same direction of playing, and may not use himself or his pony so as to block or spoil the legitimate progress of a player trying to move forward with the ball.

RULE 27 The Legitimate Ride Off
A player must not ride in a manner which endangers himself, his pony, another player, official or any other person or any other ponies. However, a player may only pushes with his arm above the elbow provided the elbow is kept close to the side and to make the legitimate ride off on the line of the ball.

RULE 28 Stop Other Party to Hit with Mallet
Beside or behind the hitter, when no person or pony between two parties, the other party shall stop the hitter’s hitting by blocking his mallet with his mallet.
(No person or pony allowed staying between the two persons when they are parallel to ball line in the middle.)
A No allowed to block the players if he doesn’t hit.
B No allowed to stop the other party before the pony’s leg or under the pony’s belly of the other party.
C No allowed to hook the other party’s mallet up to his waist(According to2008HPA rules, show in Rule 36: shoulders)

RULE 29 Pass
All the players are not allowed to pass the front of the ball line of the running hitter ( Not including the extending line) to stop him. But if beyond the area of colliding by each other, they can pass.

RULE 30 Dangerous Angerours Pass
When surpass, a player shall not have the dangerous actions as below:
A. Surpass others at an angle. This shall be dangerous to the other party or pony. (picture 3)
B. ride at a zigzag line in front of running players of the other party (picture 4)
C. Surpass suddenly in front of running pony’s head. This shall make the other party fall over. Or pass up straightly to the other party’s ball line. (Picture 5)
D. All the players shall not to take the actions to make other ponies, players or umpires dangerous, nor take improper risks to ride by caring his pony. They must ride at the nearly speed with other players. In addition, if surpass, they must be shoulder by shoulder. For more details, please see below:
Players can’t ride:
a Ride to surpass at big angle
b Ride to surpass at sudden or faster speed than other party
c Collide the other party behind the saddle
d Ride by making others surpass or surpass others ball line in dangerous place
Try to elbow out another player who wants to surpass his teammate. But if the teammate hook or hit the other party’s mallet, the other teammate hook or hit the same player’s mallet, which is not made a foul.
Any player is not allowed to squeeze the other team’s player who is squeezed by your teammate reasonably. But he can hook with him.
e continues to surpass the other player when the ball goes into the goal. This can threaten to goal umpires.
g If the front player hit backhanded,the player behind catches up. The back one shall hook mallet at the vertical direction. If the front player swings the whole mallet and swings downside, the back shall not ride into the area of front player’s swing. Showing in Rule Thirty six of HPA2008 Rules, the details as blow:
The translation is like this: Red 2 can only hook with Blue 4 when the two are in one straight line.
g Ride ahead behind ball line, while go to the front of the player who is hitting unhanded.
Some players like to hold their mallet up far away the ball, and pretend to hit, you can ride to pass him. But this need discuss in the future.
H When the player is preparing to hit in full power, the other party ride to him and surpass the ball.
I Ride zigzag in front of other player to stop him riding in his way right or press him to decrease the speed, even fall off the horse.
J carries the ball between pony’s legs before or behind the pony. This will cause pony to fall over.
K pretends to run to the other party’s player to cause him to set behind or hit by mistake because of frightened. Even no foul or colliding shall be penalized.

RULE 31 No Allowed to Hit Before Pony’s Legs or Under Pony’s Belly.
Players are not allowed to hit before the pony’s legs or under pony’s belly of the other team.

RULE 32 No Allowed to Hit or Threaten the Polo Pony of the Other Team
Players are not allowed to hit ponies or the ponies of other team with their mallets on purpose, nor threaten or frighten the ponies of the other team.
RULE 33 No Allowerd to Hit Ball. Allowed to hit Ball When Falling Off.
Players are not allowed to hit ball or stop the other team when fall off, who can only gain the rights to hit when getting on pony.
RULE 34 Holding the Ball
During the match, players are not allowed to hold the ball with their hands, arms or legs. If the ball is hit person or horse, it must fall off to land.
RULE 35 No Person Unrealated and all allowed
If players want to change mallet, pony or mend saddle etc, he may need someone to assist. But he can only get help out of match. No person unrelated is allowed to enter match field.
RULE 36 Misuse of the Mallet
The players are not allowed to use or hold their mallets to stop the other team or ponies in the ways as below:
A Hit the ball with full power in mess condition; therefore threaten to the life of other players and ponies. (No allowed to hit full power in mess condition) (No allowed to hit if the environment is not allowed. This shall be decided by umpires) (No allowed to hit with full power at the place less than or equal to 10 yards from the goal. Because it shall be dangerous to the umpires behind. If hit in goal like this, the score shall be invalid. The other team will gain an opportunity of 60 yards hit. You can find the details in Rule 36 and 37 of HPA rules)
B Hit the ball in the air and be possible to hit other players or ponies
C Hit the ball with full power under the pony’s neck to hurt other persons or ponies walking by.
D Hit the mallet of other team’s player when possible to hurt him or his pony
E Hit the ball after whistle.
F Swing the mallet like windmill or helicopter
